Can I export a nice picture of my data in Ensembl?

Once you have custom data in Ensembl (see this FAQ or video), you can customise images and export them.

Customise the image by adding or removing tracks. In addition, you can change the track style.

The image below is an example of custom variation data displayed in Ensembl where a single block for each gene in the region of human chromosome 18 (for both forward and reverse stranded genes) is displayed.

To change the default to show a single block for each gene rather than individual splice variants, go to the track name for the gene track, hover over the cog wheel, and change the setting from 'normal?' to 'collapsed'.

The image can be easily exported from Ensembl and used in publications or presentations, using the image icon.
